I love denim. I love how you can create a special relationship with your jeans and break them in to make them truly unique. The company Earnest Sewn feels the same way. Designer Scott Morrison pays homage to true American classic styled denim with slightly modern twists. All cut from premium quality selvedge denim made from the old style looms and each pair hand made taking over 16+ hours your jeans will, forsooth be unique. Also, employing an ancient Japanese style aesthetic, "Wabi-Sabi," which finds beauty in imperfection, your jeans will be even more one-of-a-kind.

About two years ago I bought the model jeans called "Kyrre" at the Earnest Sewn Boutique in the of Manhattan. As everybody should I bought them unwashed, unfaded and stiff as a board. They looked like the picture that I have included above.
After wearing them for over a year without washing them, which included planting perinnials, ignoring the rain, mud, sweat, blood and tears they saw I had a combined ass-crotch blowout, which led me to wash them in the good ol' washing machine. At year two and a half my trusty Kyrre's now look like this:

As you can see a pair a jeans that tells a story of where they have been as been left behind. This is something those pre-faded disasters try to emulate. They do a terrible job at it too. If you want wear and distressing, why not do it yourself with your own sweat and blood and stand out from the rest?
As it turns out Earnest Sewn made me a deal that I could not turn down. In exchange for my beautifully aged jeans for their archives they offered me a brand new pair so I can start a new story. Thanks a bunch guys!
